Waking Night Sitting & Supervision Services
A service user's needs may require care or support through the night, this may be due to the customer needing round the clock support with mobility or for safety reasons. Atlas Care Services night services may involve either a worker staying awake throughout the night or to sleep in but be available at the home to tend to a service user should the need arise.
Sleeping In Service
Sleeping in workers will provide a piece of mind service that there is always a care or support worker available during the night, to call upon should the need arise. This is service is popular where there may be other electronic monitoring in place or where needs change from night to night. This service may also be used as a respite service for families that ordinarily provide care or support.
Sitting Service & 24/7/365
We are able to offer services constantly throughout the day and night if required whereby a worker(s) are on duty and available to provide care and support. This service is very similar to sleep in nights and waking nights and when combined with those services forms a 24/7/365 day service. Tailored sitting services will normally be provided with dedicated staff teams on a shift pattern to allow for rest periods when a 24/7/365 service is commissioned.
Transferring to us from another provider
Sometimes a service user may find themselves in a position whereby they need to transfer to another provider, Atlas Care Services is able to facilitate a smooth transition so that the process has as little impact on the service user as possible. Every effort will be made to communicate with the outgoing provider to ensure all information is transferred in line with our Partnership Working & Communication Policy. We believe that a service user should always continue to receive a quality service throughout the transition time.
Atlas Care Services is often asked by a service user or their advocate, that if they transfer would their carers/support workers be able to follow them. This is always an option as this promotes continuity and brings across knowledge and experience to the continuation of the service after transfer. In most cases with careful planning a worker will be able to join when the service transfers, there may however be delays due to the recruitment and vetting process.
Where the transfer of undertakings (TUPE) apply to a worker they will be able to transfer immediately upon transfer. For more details on TUPE you could visit the ACAS website by clicking here. TUPE is a complex set of regulations therefore please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
