Specialist Care & Support
Specialist services are available to customer who's needs are more complex, challenging or require person specific specialised training. All referrals are carefully assessed prior to any offer to ensure that staff with the correct training, experience, skills and knowledge are available on the specified days and times. Atlas Care Services works with Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS & Councils and is able to provide low level health care services and receives support from community or district nurses and other healthcare professionals with specialist training.
All specialist services will be subject to transitional planning and will require in depth needs and risk assessments prior to start, this is to ensure that all staff can be identified and trained specifically and be fully aware of service user expectations.

Transfer to us from another provider
Sometimes a service user may find themselves in a position whereby they need to transfer to another provider, Atlas Care Services is able to facilitate a smooth transition so that the process has as little impact on the service user as possible. Every effort will be made to communicate with the outgoing provider to ensure all information is transferred in line with our Partnership Working & Communication Policy. We believe that a service user should always continue to receive a quality service throughout the transition time.
Atlas Care Services is often asked by a service user or their advocate, that if they transfer would their carers/support workers be able to follow them. This is always an option as this promotes continuity and brings across knowledge and experience to the continuation of the service after transfer. In most cases with careful planning a worker will be able to join when the service transfers, there may however be delays due to the recruitment and vetting process.
Where the transfer of undertakings (TUPE) apply to a worker they will be able to transfer immediately upon transfer. For more details on TUPE you could visit the ACAS website by clicking here. TUPE is a complex set of regulations therefore please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
